The lord who hosted the heavens is my redeemer. He has provided for me with the love of his hand. I am sheltered within his heart so that no power can prevail against me. I am hid within my beloved.

My heart sings for the goodness of my god. He has reached down and lifted me up. I have been lifted up from the pit that held me. My feet have been placed upon firm ground. No more will my heart stray! Because I have found my life, I have been lifted out of the blackness of despair. I have been placed within the light of my father’s love.

I have been lifted out of myself so that the things I thought so big are no more. My adversary has been consumed by the power of my god. My eyes have seen the insignificance of self. That which I thought so important in this life has become a refuse heap. My eyes have been opened by god’s spirit within me, and now they see that which before was not.

my path becomes plain. it is not obscured by the things of this world, but is illumined by the light of god’s love. his love is shed abroad in my heart so that my way is not dark and i am not forlorn. my soul rejoices because my god is my life and he is within me. i am not alone, neither shall i be afraid. my spirit knows no limit because it is one with god’s spirit. i walk the path of freedom because i walk with god.

My way is plain. I am not confused because I walk with god.

He is within me and his wisdom is mine. I shall be bold because my god leads me and I move in him.

confusion shall be the path of my enemies because they know not the love of my father. they mock and they scoff and they point the finger, but they touch me not. they know not that i am protected by my father and that between them and me there is a great gulf so that their words fall from me and become as nothing. they fume and they rage, but i am at peace because i have been lifted out of the pit. i have been set free from myself.

My soul rejoices because I have a new life. I live in my beloved.
