Meditation
Give me faith, oh God, faith to forget the past.
Wipe from my mind all memory of the Night.
Grant me to live in the Day and may my knowledge of Thy Day be complete.
Grant me to know that Thou art the Light, and in Thee there is no shadow at all.
Help me to know Thy Strength so that I grow not weary and faint by the Way. Sustain me by Thy Love.
Guide my thoughts so that all which is darkness is no more.
Teach me Thy Ways, and give me Thy grace so that all my words are gentle, and move my life with compassion.
Grant me the strength not to move in my own way, and may words spoken in haste and sharpness be foreign to my lips.
Help me to be the strength to others that You meant for me to be in You, and grant me the humility of Thy Love.
Oh, God, be my all from day to day. Blind my eyes with Thy Glory so I see nothing but Thy Love.
Grant me my desire to be nothing in myself. Let not the remembrance of former things dwell in my mind.
Live in me--live through me so that the hungry may know Thy Love and that you are alive today.
Amen.
