Alive in Him

Alive in Him

Dear Father, I’m so thankful for what you have provided for me.

Help me, Lord to see the way of Life in your Love. Teach me Your truths and show me how to abstain from carnal thoughts so that Your power may have a clear path through my life. .

Teach me Your precepts so that I may know the Power of Your Presence. Let me be an oasis of supply for the needy. Teach me that all that is good and worthwhile comes from You, and is Spirit. Let me know Your Spirit. May the knowledge of my head be lost in the revelation of Your will.

May all that is my flesh be brought under the Power of Your Spirit. May there be a clean line of division between my flesh and Your Spirit. May I know that it is Your Spirit that directs my flesh, and not the flesh that directs the Spirit.

If there are wrong ideas that hold me prisoner, may they be exposed and put in their proper place. Release me from all hindrances. Make me to realize that all that I need has been provided by You, but again I ask You to show me the way to take hold of Your provisions.

Cleanse me from every pride and imitation of the flesh. Let my love be pure and of Thee. Place a guard about me so that always I will be aware of Your enemies. Even though my enemy lies in wait to pounce upon me and ensnare me in his mesh, let my soul have confidence that no weapon that is formed against me shall prosper. May the eyes of my spirit be so keen that I may see the enemy before I am come upon him. May I know him as You know him so that no subtlety on his part may deceive me.

And, dear Lord, teach me that I am only Spiritually alive in you. Teach me, Lord, that all else is of the enemy and that as long as I live in the flesh, I am living in his evil domain. But, Oh Father, may there rise within the absolute know¬ledge that even though this spirit of mine is temporarily bound to this flesh, it is not subject to its appetites or desires. You have deigned to come and take up Your abode in me and You are now quickening me. Because this is so, the flesh does not have dominion over me. .

I thank You, Father, for Jesus. I thank You that You laid all my shortcomings upon him. Show me every day, Lord, how He died for me so that I don’t have to die.

May every dart of Satan fall upon this shield of faith that you have given me. May every evil with which the devil tries to trip me only turn my thoughts to you and show me how wonderful are your provisions. May I each day reckon myself dead to the flesh because Jesus has already died for me. And then, Lord, may I not stop there, but may I reckon myself alive to You. Reveal to me that You, of a truth, live within me. Teach me the ways of Thy Spirit so that I may see, and think, and move in the knowledge of Thy presence.
