Contentment

Contentment

My heart is full! I feel the surging power of an inarticulate joy. I can not tell how I feel, but the joy is because my Lord is there.

It is not a joy that comes from the greatness of this world; it is not the comfort of material success. It is not because of my possessions. It is a joy of tenderness and of love, and so, I know it is because of Jesus.

My heart is full--and I have done nothing to fill it. This fullness is a gift from my Father.

My heart is full of contentment. It is a contentment beyond my contrivance. I am accepted in my Father’s House. I stand righteous before Him. He granted me this privilege. He made me His child, even though I was not His child. I have gained more than the riches of many worlds because I am full of contentment in my Father’s House.

I am glad for eyes that can see the glory of my Father. Once I could not see. Then He touched me. He healed my sight so that now He fills all my horizons. I am glad for the touch of His love on my heart. Once it was dead, but now it is alive with His life and my soul sings of His love.

My Heart is full. His love washes my heart continually.

Like the waves of the sea washing the sands of the shore, His love does not cease.

He has given His love to me. I am hid in His heart.

I am content.
