I Am at Home

I Am At Home

When my soul is troubled, I go to you, my God. From you, I seek sure ease from all my struggles. I bring my heavy heart to You, and You lift the load. There is no place in all the earth that I can find comfort for my soul, except in You.

You have the balm that anoints my soul and heals the hurt. You have always been my helper, my Comforter, and my Guide.

Sometimes I have wandered long in my own ways, and all the time I was being sucked down by the forces of Hell.

Yet when I turned to find You, You were always there. I did not have to cry and cut myself to attract your attention. Your love was about me before I could open my mouth. Your care covered me, and I knew it not.

Then when I turned from my weariness to You, I saw Your love. My soul was lifted up and made glad just because I saw Your love. Then I saw Your care all about me, and I was overcome. Tears filled my eyes, and thankfulness filled my heart.

My Spirit responded to Your Spirit and it melted into one with You.

Now my soul is quiet; it is no longer troubled.

I am at Home.
