The Day Jesus Returned to My Soul

The Day Jesus Returned to My Soul

Jesus, you are the only One who understands my soul. There is no place in all the earth for me to turn but to You. You understand my hurts and fears even when my own mind does not.

I look to my mind for direction and wisdom, but I find it not! Only in You do I find comfort and refuge from the storm.

There are many who would advise me and want to help, but again only You understand the needs of my soul. You understand my soul because You made it to be inhabited by Your comfort, Your peace, and Your love.

My soul is only at rest when it abides in You. There is no rest without You dwelling in my soul.

You promised in Your Word that You would return to my soul. You said you would not leave me comfortless--You would come to me.

Oh, Jesus, You have kept Your Word. You have returned to my soul. You have become my comforter and my guide. You are living in my heart. You have become my sure refuge. I am not left comfortless. You have returned to me just as You promised. Oh Hallelujah!

Even though my mind says I am alone and my emotions are as turbulent as the sea, You are still master of the waves-- billows Your will obey!

You understand the needs of my soul and have fulfilled them with the very promise of Yourself.

I must no longer follow or listen to the so-called wisdom of my mind for it knows not the things of Thy Spirit. I must ignore it and attend to Thy word. There is no comfort when I listen to my mind.

Yes, Jesus, You have returned to my soul never to depart. My soul lives because You are there. Oh, Jesus, I praise you for restoring my soul.

Be thou quieted, my soul, be still, fear thou not! You are not left alone. Enter into the comfort of Thy Father, my soul, and enjoy His everlasting love.

His love is within you, through you, and all around you. Be comforted, my soul, your Savior has come--return to thy rest.
